We provide guides and staff with extensive experience, who will accompany you and train you in the different techniques for kayak sport fishing.
Fishing is centered on catching diverse species: Chilean sea bass, sierras, yellowtail, rock fish, and shore soles. Fishing is done near rocky areas that are difficult to access by land, pursuing large species in deep waters, where they live and feed on smaller fish. Different types of artificial lures and various techniques are employed: trolling, jigging, and fly fishing.
Every departure must be pre-defined based on weather and sea conditions.
General equipment
Kayak 13 or 14 feet long, designed for sea fishing, oars, Neoprene suit, life jackets, and safety equipment.
Traditional fishing equipment
1.80-2.20 meter-long rod, size 5,000 or 6,000 reel, 30-50-80-lb. lines, and lures for different depths. Leader on hand in case of fishing sierras.
Fly fishing
#8 to #12 equipment with sinking tip lines of 250 to 450 grains. Fluorocarbon leader .30-.40mm on hand in case of fishing sierras. Small fish and crustacean imitation flies (deceivers, minnows, imitation sand hoppers).
Important:
Each fisherman will be able to keep a maximum of 1 fish per each species captured. Releasing the extra fish caught promotes maintenance of the species and the sport.
